Deborah L. Rosenstein
Vice President of Events and Business Development
Ms. Rosenstein has extensive experience in all aspects of the Real Estate industry, including research, product analysis, transactional analysis as well as operational sales and marketing management. Initial experience was in the banking and mortgage banking industries. In the late 1970s, Ms. Rosenstein helped create the first new home data base – Housing Data Reports – as well as its Consulting Arm – Housing Strategies – in the Washington, D.C. MSA. Ms. Rosenstein went on to open her own New Homes Consulting Firm – Rosenstein Research Associates, Inc. – that had been operational for nearly twenty-five years prior to joining Metrostudy as Senior Consultant in its Mid-Atlantic region.
On the operational side of the new homes business, Ms. Rosenstein served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing for The Christopher Companies, a local building firm building condominium, townhome and single family product in the Washington, D.C. MSA as well as in Delaware.
Actively involved in the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association (NVBIA) for nearly forty years, Ms. Rosenstein served as its President in the 2007-2008 time frame. Utilizing her extensive knowledge of the industry and the association, Ms. Rosenstein now serves as the Vice President of Events and Business Development for NVBIA.
Director of Government Affairs
Steve has spent 10 years working in different branches of government. Prior to coming to NVBIA, Steve served for 3 years as the Chief of Staff to Delegate Mark Levine, working on a wide range of issues that came before the Virginia House of Delegates. Previously, Steve served as a Judicial Clerk in the Delaware Superior Court and as an Attorney for the Social Security Administration. Steve is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University and Duke Law School.
Lee Ann Belletti
Director of Events
Lee Ann Belletti brings over 15 years of experience facilitating all logistics of conference and social event planning, marketing and sponsorship sales for associations, corporations and the non-profit community, ensuring quality, image and value. Prior experience includes sales of millions of dollars of natural gas, oil and electric power to large commercial and industrial end users. She serves as a grassroots advocate to state and federal-level advocacy teams supporting the agenda for leading non-profit health organizations. Lee Ann received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from DePaul University.
Events & Communications Manager
Alexandra Whitson is the Events and Communications Manager for the Northern Virginia Building Industry Association (NVBIA). She is responsible for managing the events of all chapters, multiple committees and councils, as well as assisting with the planning and implementation of regional events. She also manages education courses, the association webpage, social media platforms, and weekly eNews blasts that go out to all members. Alexandra is a recent graduate of George Mason University and received her Bachelor of Science in Events Management in the Spring of 2017.
Membership Services and Database Manager
Briggitt, is a database management professional who has worked at NVBIA for more than 20 years, all of which has been spent in database and member record management. In addition to NVBIA, Briggitt also has experience in the homebuilding industry working for Winchester Homes, Stanley Martin Homes and Pulte Homes.
Margie has over thirty years of experience in accounting and financial management for non-profit and membership organizations. She has worked for The Milton S. Eisenhower Foundation for the past 10 years with youth and outreach programs managing grants and private funding. She has also worked for National Court Reporters Association and Music Educators Association managing accounting operations for membership and event management as well as accounting operations for Political Action Committee accounts. Margie has worked with outside audit firms, tax agencies, banking and financial institutions.
